The new Linux display driver, 331.17, is actually an update for the Beta branch, which means that a new stable is already on its way.
Highlights of Nvidia 331.17 Beta Driver:
• A bug that prevented the configuration files containing application profiles from being loaded when directories were present in the application profile configuration search path has been fixed;
• Deferred initialization of libselinux in the NVIDIA OpenGL driver has been implemented;
• nvidia-uvm.ko, the NVIDIA Unified Memory kernel module, has been added to the NVIDIA Linux driver package.
